Mrs. Smith
Hi! My name is Michelle Smith and I teach Language Arts and serve as fourth grade team leader. I have been teaching for 12 years, and this will be my fifth year at Tarver Rendon. I am passionate about creating life-long readers and authors.
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, and my husband and I are both proud UT alumni! We have two sweet children together. Austin is seven and Ainsley is four. We also share our home with our Boxer Hannah.
I am so excited about the journey we will take together this year! Thank you for sharing your children with us. We will be partners in their education.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Michelle Smith

Hello, and welcome to the fourth-grade team! My name is Brandais Benton (pronounced "Brandy") , and I am so happy that I have the opportunity to share this year with you!
I have been teaching for twenty years (oh my!) and this is my tenth-year teaching at Tarver Rendon. Tarver Rendon is the most involved and student-centered campus I have encountered, and I am so very proud to be part of such a group of highly trained individuals.
I am blessed to have been married for twenty-two years to a wonderful fireman and pool builder. We have two beautiful children, who both attend Texas Tech University. My daughter, Ashley, is an incoming freshman at the university and will study early childhood education. My son, Blake, is a senior at the same school, and is majoring in marketing. We are so very proud of our children and their accomplishments.
As a parent, I would like you to know that you and I will work together as a team on your child's behalf. I am not only excited to be a part of you and your child's educational adventure, but I am extremely humbled in the fact that you and I together will create a phenomenal student. Much love and prayers for the following year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Brandais Benton

Mr. White
Congratulations! Your student has finally made it to the 4th grade! This is a great accomplishment, and something that you should be proud of. My name is Brian White, and I will be teaching Social Studies and Science this year. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Political Science / Finance. I am now entering my 3rd year here at Tarver-Rendon. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best school to attend. An added bonus is our brand new Agricultural Leadership program.
I have been married nearly 24 years to an incredible individual. Some of you may know her because you had her in Kindergarten as a teacher! We have two incredible daughters. Kylee is our senior, and Brianna is our freshman. They both attend Legacy High School. Then, we also have Muffin. Don’t want to leave her out. She has been with us nearly 16 years now!
I am looking forward to having a great year with all the students!
